Kids

Too cool for School. It doesn't get any cuter than this. On this day we were taking my son to check out preschools but instead he thought the ladies were checking him out.  Hat, shirt and jeans are all from Baby Gap, puffy vest and shoes from Old Navy and backpack from Target.

Home

White bare walls drive me crazy, can you tell?  When we bought the house this room was white, no pictures on the walls and gold wall to wall carpeting. While that may be great decor for some, my family needed a change. We changed the floor to a dark wood, added a zebra area rug, painted the walls, bought a lot of accessories and added my favorite fabric print, Toile!!

Gotta Love Jeans!!!!

I know we all love the lazy days of summer but once fall rolls around I am missing my boots and jeans. Sweater and Belt from Forever 21, Olive Pants from Old Navy, scarf from H & M and BCBG boots from Marshals.

My dining room is the only room that has not been painted in the entire house. I liked the wall color and since the table and chairs were handed down to me I didn't want to paint them. To lighten up the room I  painted  my old hutch white and added white accessories.

This is our living room aka fireplace room. When we moved into the house, there was wall to wall red carpeting with blue walls. The molding was a light oak. I painted the room olive green, stained the molding a chocolate brown. I also added the photo wall of the kids.

This is a wall in my kitchen. When we first moved in,  the room was a painted a sky blue and the walls were totally bare. I painted the room a light mocha. The chalk board was made from a old window and chalk board paint. I painted the table I got from a garage sale and bought black frames to match.  Inside the table is where we keep all our arts and craft supplies. One of the chalk boards has the dinner menu for the week and the other one has a list of the kids chores. I will go into more detail in future posts on my DIY projects.

Several years ago, I set out to find the perfect house for my family. I found the house and location we loved, but unfortunately the decor was not my cup of tea. Room by room I have renovated and redecorated every nook & crannie. In this section of the blog I will show you each and every project I took on since buying the house.
